Tom Papa, ''Calm, Cool, & Collected" (BSeenMedia): For those who only know Papa from his quickly canceled sitcom, ''Come to Papa," this disc will be a revelation. Papa deserved better than cookie-cutter family fare, and he shows why here. With old-school timing and an emphasis on hitting the maximum punch lines per minute, Papa is easily one of the funniest veteran comics working the clubs today.

Veteran performer Tom Papa, known nationally from his many appearances on late night talk shows and as the frequent opening act for Jerry Seinfeld, finally put his best bits on tape. Though his debut disc, Calm, Cool & Collected will seem a bit short – 35 minutes – for his diehard fans, it’s the perfect introduction for those not entirely familiar with his work.
